कामं पूर्वं धनं मध्ये जघन्ये धर्मम आचरेत वयस्य अनुचरेद एवम एष शास्त्रकृतॊ विधिः ।। ३-३४-४० ।।

sanskrit

'The scriptures also prescribe that one should pursue pleasure in the early part of life, seek wealth in the middle, and focus on virtue in the later years.' ।। 3-34-40 ।।

english translation

kAmaM pUrvaM dhanaM madhye jaghanye dharmama Acareta vayasya anucareda evama eSa zAstrakRtò vidhiH || 3-34-40 ||
