हेतुमात्रम इदं धात्तुः शरीरं कषेत्रसंज्ञितम येन कारयते कर्म शुभाशुभफलं विभुः ।। ३-३१-३० ।।

sanskrit

'This body, with its physical attributes, serves merely as the instrument through which the Supreme Lord governs the outcomes of actions, whether good or bad.' ।। 3-31-30 ।।

english translation

hetumAtrama idaM dhAttuH zarIraM kaSetrasaMjJitama yena kArayate karma zubhAzubhaphalaM vibhuH || 3-31-30 ||
