संधाय धार्तराष्ट्रेण पार्थानां विप्रिये सथितः यॊद्धुम आशंसते नित्यं फाल्गुनेन महात्मना ॥ ३-२९३-१८ ॥

'After forging a bond of friendship with Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s son, Duryodhana, he grew ever intent on harming the sons of Pṛthā. Ever burning with rivalry, he longed above all to battle with the high-souled Fālguna (Arjuna).' ।। 3-293-18 ।।

saMdhAya dhArtarASTreNa pArthAnAM vipriye sathitaH yòddhuma AzaMsate nityaM phAlgunena mahAtmanA ॥ 3-293-18 ॥
