गङ्गायाः सूत विषयं चम्पाम अभ्याययौ पुरीम स मञ्जूषा गतॊ गर्भस तरङ्गैर उह्यमानकः ॥ ३-२९२-२६ ॥

sanskrit

'And carried along by the waves of the Ganga, the child within the basket was borne to the city of Champa, ruled by a charioteer of the Suta race.' ॥ 3-292-26 ॥

english translation

gaGgAyAH sUta viSayaM campAma abhyAyayau purIma sa maJjUSA gatò garbhasa taraGgaira uhyamAnakaH ॥ 3-292-26 ॥

अमृताद उत्थितं दिव्यं तत तु वर्म सकुण्डलम धारयाम आस तं गर्भं दैवं च विधिनिर्मितम ॥ ३-२९२-२७ ॥

sanskrit

'Indeed, it was the divine armor and the earrings—born with him and made of Amrita—as well as the decree of Destiny itself, that preserved his life.' ॥ 3-292-27 ॥

english translation

amRtAda utthitaM divyaM tata tu varma sakuNDalama dhArayAma Asa taM garbhaM daivaM ca vidhinirmitama ॥ 3-292-27 ॥
