भीतानाम अभयं दत्त्वा संग्रामे जीवितार्थिनाम वृद्धान बालान दविजातींश च मॊक्षयित्वा महाभयात ।। ३-२८४-३७ ।।

sanskrit

'And by dispelling, on the field of battle, the fears of the terrified who may plead for their lives, and by rescuing the aged, the young, and the Brahmanas from peril and distress, I shall earn glorious fame and attain the highest heaven.' ।। 3-284-37 ।।

english translation

bhItAnAma abhayaM dattvA saMgrAme jIvitArthinAma vRddhAna bAlAna davijAtIMza ca mòkSayitvA mahAbhayAta || 3-284-37 ||
