उत्थाय सत्यवांश चापि परमृज्याङ्गानि पाणिना दिशः सर्वाः समालॊक्य कठिने दृष्टिम आदधे ॥ ३-२८१-१०१ ॥
'And Satyavan, having risen, rubbed his limbs with his hands. As he surveyed all around.' ॥ 3-281-101 ॥
english translation
तम उवाचाथ सावित्री शवः फलानीह नेष्यसि यॊगक्षेमार्थम एतत ते नेष्यामि परशुं तव अहम ॥ ३-२८१-१०२ ॥
'Then Savitri said to him, "Tomorrow you may gather fruits, and I shall carry your axe to make things easier for you."' ॥ 3-281-102 ॥
english translation
कृत्वा कठिन भारं सा वृक्षशाखावलम्बिनम गृहीत्वा परशुं भर्तुः सकाशं पुनर आगमत ॥ ३-२८१-१०३ ॥
'Having taken the heavy burden while leaning on a tree branch, She took hold of her husband’s axe and came back beside him.' ॥ 3-281-103 ॥
english translation
वामे सकन्धे तु वामॊरुर भर्तुर बाहुं निवेश्य सा दक्षिणेन परिष्वज्य जगाम मृदु गामिनी ॥ ३-२८१-१०४ ॥
'That lady of graceful form placed her husband's left arm upon her left shoulder, embraced him with her right arm, and proceeded forward with a steady, dignified gait.' ॥ 3-281-104 ॥

[सत्यवान] अभ्यासगमनाद भीरु पन्थानॊ विदिता मम वृक्षान्तरालॊकितया जयॊत्स्नया चापि लक्षये ॥ ३-२८१-१०५ ॥
'Then Satyavan said, "O timid one, through habit I know these forest paths well. Moreover, by the moonlight filtering through the trees, I can clearly see the way."' ॥ 3-281-105 ॥
