[मातलि] अयं हर्यश्व युग जैत्रॊ मघॊनः सयन्दनॊत्तमः अनेन शक्रः काकुत्स्थ समरे दैत्यदानवान शतशः पुरुषव्याघ्र रथॊदारेण जघ्निवा ॥ ३-२७४-१३ ॥

'And Matali said, 'O scion of Kakutstha’s race, behold this splendid and triumphant chariot, yoked to a pair of tawny steeds, the pride of the Lord of the celestials! Upon this very chariot, O tiger among men, Indra has vanquished in battle hundreds of Daityas and Danavas!'' ॥ 3-274-13 ॥
