महता शरवर्षेण राक्षसौ सॊ ऽभयवर्षत तौ चापि वीरौ संक्रुद्धाव उभौ तौ समवर्षताम ॥ ३-२७१-२२ ॥
'Lakshmana overwhelmed the two Rakshasas with a perfect shower of arrows. In response, both of the Rakshasa heroes, filled with fury, covered Lakshmana with a hail of arrows.' ॥ 3-271-22 ॥
