लॊहिताक्षं महाबाहुं मत्तमातङ्गगामिनम दीर्घबाहुं महॊरस्कं नीलकुञ्चित मूर्धजम ॥ ३-२६१-९ ॥
'And, O scion of the Kuru race, King Dasharatha was greatly pleased to behold his son, the joy of Kausalya, who had red eyes and sinewy arms. His gait was like that of a wild elephant. He had long arms, broad shoulders, and black, curly hair.' ॥ 3-261-9 ॥
