विसर्जितः स रामेण पितुर वचनकारिणा नन्दिग्रामे ऽकरॊद राज्यं पुरस्कृत्यास्य पादुके ॥ ३-२६१-३८ ॥
'Bharata, however, was dismissed by Rama, who was resolute in fulfilling their father’s command. Returning to Nandigrama, Bharata ruled, keeping his brother’s wooden sandals before him as a symbol of his authority.' ॥ 3-261-38 ॥
