[वै] ततॊ घॊरतरः शब्दॊ वने समभवत तदा भीमसेनार्जुनौ दृष्ट्वा कषत्रियाणाम अमर्षिणाम ॥ ३-२५४-१ ॥
'Vaisampayana said, "The hostile Kshatriyas, incensed at the sight of Bhimasena and Arjuna, sent up a loud shout in the forest."' ॥ 3-254-1 ॥
english translation
तेषां धवजाग्राण्य अभिवीक्ष्य राजा; सवयं दुरात्मा कुरुपुंगवानाम जरद्रथॊ याज्ञसेनीम उवाच; रथे सथितां भानुमतीं हतौजाः ॥ ३-२५४-२ ॥
'And the wicked king Jayadratha, when he saw the standards of those bulls of the Kuru race, lost his heart, and addressing the resplendent Yagnaseni seated on his car, said;' ॥ 3-254-2 ॥
english translation
आयान्तीमे पञ्च रथा महान्तॊ; मन्ये च कृष्णे पतयस तवैते सा जानती खयापय नः सुकेशि; परं परं पाण्डवानां रथस्थम ॥ ३-२५४-३ ॥
'Here come these five great chariots, And O Krishna, I believe these are your husbands. O beautiful-haired one, since you know them, Tell us who stands in each of the Pandavas' chariots.' ॥ 3-254-3 ॥

[दरौ] किं ते जञातैर मूढ महाधनुर्धरैर; अनायुष्यं कर्मकृत्वातिघॊरम एते वीराः पतयॊ मे समेता; न वः शेषः कश चिद इहास्ति युद्धे ॥ ३-२५४-४ ॥
'Draupadi, addressing Jayadratha, spoke fiercely: "Having committed this vile act that will hasten your end, what use is it to inquire about the names of these mighty warriors? For now that my heroic husbands have arrived, not one of you shall remain alive on the battlefield!"' ॥ 3-254-4 ॥

आख्यातव्यं तव एव सर्वं मुमूर्षॊर; मया तुभ्यं पृष्टया धर्म एषः न मे वयथा विद्यते तवद्भयं वा; संपश्यन्त्याः सानुजं धर्मराजम ॥ ३-२५४-५ ॥
'Draupadi continued, "Everything must be told by you, as I am near death; When asked by me, this is your dharma (duty). I feel neither pain nor fear When I see Dharmaraja (Yudhishthira) with his younger brothers."' ॥ 3-254-5 ॥
