कषुद धर्मसंज्ञां परणुदत्य आदत्ते धैर्यम एव च विषयानुसारिणी जिह्वा कर्षत्य एव रसान परति ॥ ३-२४६-२४ ॥
'The pangs of hunger drive away righteousness and rob people of their patience. The tongue, attracted to delicacies, draws people toward them.' ॥ 3-246-24 ॥
