एतस्मात कारणाद राजन नागमं नागसाह्वयम यद्य अगां परवीरघ्न न हि जीवेत सुयॊधनः ॥ ३-२३-४१ ॥

sanskrit

'And, O king, it is for this reason that I could not reach the city of Hastinapura. Had I arrived, Suyodhana, the destroyer of heroes, would not have survived, and the game of dice would never have occurred.' ।। 3-23-41 ।।

english translation

etasmAta kAraNAda rAjana nAgamaM nAgasAhvayama yadya agAM paravIraghna na hi jIveta suyòdhanaH ॥ 3-23-41 ॥
