[अग्नि] कथं मां तवं विजानीषे कामार्तम इतराः कथम यास तवया कीर्तिताः सर्वाः सप्तर्षीणां परियाः सत्रियः ।। ३-२१४-४ ।।

sanskrit

'Agni replied, "How did you come to know that I was tormented by love? And how could the others—the beloved wives of the seven Rishis, whom you mentioned—be aware of this?"' ।। 3-214-4 ।।

english translation

[agni] kathaM mAM tavaM vijAnISe kAmArtama itarAH kathama yAsa tavayA kIrtitAH sarvAH saptarSINAM pariyAH satriyaH || 3-214-4 ||
