अमावास्यां संप्रवृत्तं मुहूर्तं रौद्रम एव च देवासुरं च संग्रामं सॊ ऽपश्यद उदये गिरौ ।। ३-२१३-२७ ।।

sanskrit

'As it was the time of the new Moon, he, the one of a hundred sacrifices, observed the gods and Asuras battling on the Sunrise hill at the Raudra moment.' ।। 3-213-27 ।।

english translation

amAvAsyAM saMpravRttaM muhUrtaM raudrama eva ca devAsuraM ca saMgrAmaM sò 'pazyada udaye girau || 3-213-27 ||
