दहन मृतानि भूतानि तस्याग्निर भरतॊ ऽभवत अग्निष्टॊमे च नियतः करतुश्रेष्ठॊ भरस्य तु ॥ ३-२१२-६ ॥
'Agni destroyed the mortal beings, becoming the fire of the Bharatas. He was steadfast in the Agnishtoma sacrifice, the supreme ritual of Bharata.' ॥ 3-212-6 ॥
