पञ्चैव गुरवॊ बरह्मन पुरुषस्य बभूषतः पिता माताग्निर आत्मा च गुरुश च दविजसत्तम ॥ ३-२०४-२६ ॥

sanskrit

'The two parents, the sacred fire, the soul, and the spiritual preceptor—these five, O good Brahmana, are worthy of the highest reverence from anyone seeking prosperity.' ॥ 3-204-26 ॥

english translation

paJcaiva guravò barahmana puruSasya babhUSataH pitA mAtAgnira AtmA ca guruza ca davijasattama ॥ 3-204-26 ॥
