अघि हॊत्रम अनड्वांश च जञातयॊ ऽतिथिबान्धवाः पुत्रदारभृताश चैव निर्दहेयुर अपूजिताः ।। ३-२-५५ ।।

sanskrit

'This is a timeless moral duty. Those who neglect the performance of the Agnihotra, fail to attend to cattle, or neglect to care for their relatives, guests, friends, children, spouses, and servants, incur sin through such neglect.' ।। 3-2-55 ।।

english translation

aghi hòtrama anaDvAMza ca jaJAtayò 'tithibAndhavAH putradArabhRtAza caiva nirdaheyura apUjitAH || 3-2-55 ||
