वेदॊक्तः परमॊ धर्मॊ धर्मशास्त्रेषु चापरः शिष्टाचीर्णश च शिष्टानां तरिविधं धर्मलक्षणम ॥ ३-१९८-७८ ॥
'Among holy men, virtue is classified into three categories: the supreme virtue taught in the Vedas, the secondary virtue found in the Dharma-shastras, and virtuous conduct itself.' ॥ 3-198-78 ॥
