वेदस्यॊपनिषत सत्यं सत्यस्यॊपनिषद दमः दमस्यॊपनिषत तयागः शिष्टाचारेषु नित्यदा ॥ ३-१९८-६२ ॥

'The essence of the Vedas is Truth; the essence of Truth is self-control, and the essence of self-control is abstinence from worldly pleasures. All of these qualities are evident in virtuous conduct.' ॥ 3-198-62 ॥
