देहीति याचमानॊ वै तिष्ठेत्य उक्तः सत्रिया ततः शौचं तु यावत कुरुते भाजनस्य कुटुम्बिनी ॥ ३-१९७-८ ॥
'Upon entering, he simply said, 'Give.' And he was answered by a woman with the word, 'Stay.' And while the housewife, O king, was engaged in cleaning the vessel from which alms are given.' ॥ 3-197-8 ॥
