मिथ्या च नखरॊमाणि धारयन्ति नरास तदा अर्थलॊभान नरव्याघ्र वृथा च बरह्मचारिणः ॥ ३-१८६-४१ ॥

sanskrit

'Meanwhile, Brahmanas, falsely assuming the garb of ascetics, earn wealth through trade, with their nails and hair untrimmed. Many of the twice-born, driven by greed for wealth, take to the life of mendicants, pretending to follow the Brahmacharin order.' ॥ 3-186-41 ॥

english translation

mithyA ca nakharòmANi dhArayanti narAsa tadA arthalòbhAna naravyAghra vRthA ca barahmacAriNaH ॥ 3-186-41 ॥
