अथ कालेन महता स मत्स्यः सुमहान अभूत अलिञ्जरे जले चैव नासौ समभवत किल ॥ ३-१८५-१३ ॥

'"Worshipful sir, kindly provide me with a more suitable dwelling," said the fish. Thereupon, the venerable Manu, the conqueror of hostile cities, lifted the fish from the vessel and carried it to a large tank, where he placed it. In that new home, the fish continued to grow for many long years.' ॥ 3-185-13 ॥

atha kAlena mahatA sa matsyaH sumahAna abhUta aliJjare jale caiva nAsau samabhavata kila ॥ 3-185-13 ॥
