तत्र हय अगस्त्यः पादेन वहन पृष्टॊ मया मुनिः अदृष्टेन ततॊ ऽसम्य उक्तॊ धवंस सर्पेति वै रुषा ॥ ३-१७८-३७ ॥

'Among them, the sage Agastya was one day carrying my conveyance when my feet inadvertently touched his body. Angered by this, Agastya cursed me, saying, "Be ruined and become a snake!"' ।। 3-178-37 ।।

english translation

tatra haya agastyaH pAdena vahana pRSTò mayA muniH adRSTena tatò 'samya uktò dhavaMsa sarpeti vai ruSA ॥ 3-178-37 ॥
