[अर्ज] ततॊ माम अभिविश्वस्तं संरूढशरविक्षतम देवराजॊ ऽनुगृह्येदं काले वचनम अब्रवीत ॥ ३-१७१-१ ॥
'Arjuna continued, "Then, with unwavering confidence, the sovereign of the celestials, regarding me as his own, spoke these words to me, pierced and wounded by cleaving arrows, at the proper moment." ' ॥ 3-171-1 ॥
english translation
दिव्यान्य अस्त्राणि सर्वाणि तवयि तिष्ठन्ति भारत न तवाभिभवितुं शक्तॊ मानुषॊ भुवि कश चन ॥ ३-१७१-२ ॥
'All the celestial weapons, O Bharata, reside with you. No man on earth shall ever be able to overpower you.' ॥ 3-171-2 ॥
english translation
भीष्मॊ दरॊणः कृपः कर्णः शकुनिः सह राजभिः संग्रामस्थस्य ते पुत्र कलां नार्हन्ति षॊडशीम ॥ ३-१७१-३ ॥
'And, O son, when you stand on the battlefield, Bhishma, Drona, Kripa, Karna, Shakuni, and all the other Kshatriyas combined will not equal even one-sixteenth of your might.' ॥ 3-171-3 ॥
english translation
इदं च मे तनुत्राणं परायच्छन मघवान परभुः अभेद्यं कवचं दिव्यं सरजं चैव हिरण्मयीम ॥ ३-१७१-४ ॥
'And the mighty Maghavan (Indra) presented me with this armor, divine and impenetrable, along with a golden garland.' ॥ 3-171-4 ॥
english translation
देवदत्तं च मे शङ्खं देवः परादान महारवम दिव्यं चेदं किरीटं मे सवयम इन्द्रॊ युयॊज ह ॥ ३-१७१-५ ॥
'Indra gifted me the Devadatta conch, known for its mighty roars, along with celestial armor, impenetrable and capable of protecting the body. He himself placed this divine diadem upon my head.' ॥ 3-171-5 ॥
