[मा] आसीद इदं पुरा पार्थ देवराजस्य नः पुरम ततॊ निवातकवचैर इतः परच्याविताः सुराः ।। ३-१६९-२८ ।।

sanskrit

'In days of old, O Partha, this was once the city of our Lord of the Celestials. Later, the celestials were driven from here by the Nivata-Kavachas.' ।। 3-169-28 ।।

english translation

[mA] AsIda idaM purA pArtha devarAjasya naH purama tatò nivAtakavacaira itaH paracyAvitAH surAH || 3-169-28 ||
