[कृ] शाल्वस्य नगरं सौभं गतॊ ऽहं भरतर्षभ विनिहन्तुं नरश्रेष्ठ तत्र मे शृणु कारणम ॥ ३-१५-२ ॥

'Krishna said: "O mighty scion of the Bharata race, I went to destroy the city of Shalva. Hear now, O foremost of the Kauravas, the reason for my actions."' ॥ 3-15-2 ॥
