तस्य भार्या जनस्थानाद रावणेन हृता बलात वञ्चयित्वा महाबुद्धिं मृगरूपेण राघवम ॥ ३-१४७-३० ॥

'From Janasthana, the wicked Ravana, using both force and cunning, abducted Rama's queen. Deceiving the foremost of men, O sinless one, he did so through the agency of the Rakshasa Maricha, who took the form of a deer adorned with gem-like and golden spots.' ।। 3-147-30 ।।

tasya bhAryA janasthAnAda rAvaNena hRtA balAta vaJcayitvA mahAbuddhiM mRgarUpeNa rAghavama ॥ 3-147-30 ॥
