एतादृशानि दुःखानि सहन्ते दुर्बलीयसाम दीर्घकालं परदीप्तानि पापानां कषुद्रकर्मणाम ॥ ३-१३-१०६ ॥
'Such prolonged sufferings are endured by the weak, [These sufferings are] ignited by the sins of those who perform wicked deeds.' ॥ 3-13-106 ॥
