अत्रैव भरतॊ राजा मेध्यम अश्वम अवासृजत असकृत कृष्णसारङ्गं धर्मेणावाप्य मेदिनीम ।। ३-१२९-१५ ।।

sanskrit

'O monarch! It was here that King Bharata performed his sacred sacrifices. To celebrate the horse-sacrifice, he released the horse intended for the ritual. By his righteousness, that monarch had gained sovereignty over the earth. The horse, which was let loose more than once, had a coat marked with black patches.' ।। 3-129-15 ।।

atraiva bharatò rAjA medhyama azvama avAsRjata asakRta kRSNasAraGgaM dharmeNAvApya medinIma || 3-129-15 ||
