चिराय तव पुत्राणां शतम एकश च पार्थिव पाण्डॊः पञ्चैव लक्ष्यन्ते ते ऽपि मन्दाः सुदुःखिताः ॥ ३-१०-२१ ॥
'O Bharata, though you have a hundred and one sons, Pandu has only five, who are suffering greatly and living in hardship. My heart is continually troubled by thoughts of how they might survive and prosper in their distress.' ॥ 3-10-21 ॥
