कुतश च कवचं तस्य कुण्डले चैव सत्तम एतद इच्छाम्य अहं शरॊतुं तन मे बरूहि तपॊधन ॥ ३-२८७-२ ॥

sanskrit

'Whence came that coat of mail and those earrings, O best of men? All this I long to hear. Do tell me everything, O thou who art rich in the wealth of asceticism!' ॥ 3-287-2 ॥

english translation

kutaza ca kavacaM tasya kuNDale caiva sattama etada icchAmya ahaM zaròtuM tana me barUhi tapòdhana ॥ 3-287-2 ॥
