[य] उक्तं भगवता जन्म रामादीनां पृथक पृथक परस्थान कारणं बरह्मञ शरॊतुम इच्छामि कथ्यताम ॥ ३-२६१-१ ॥

'Yudhishthira said, 'O venerable one, you have narrated to me in detail the history of the births of Rama and the others. Now, I wish to learn the cause of their exile.'' ॥ 3-261-1 ॥

english translation

[ya] uktaM bhagavatA janma rAmAdInAM pRthaka pRthaka parasthAna kAraNaM barahmaJa zaròtuma icchAmi kathyatAma ॥ 3-261-1 ॥
