[मार्क] एवं संकथिते कृत्स्ने मॊक्षधर्मे युधिष्ठिर दृढं परीतिमना विप्रॊ धर्मव्याधम उवाच ह ॥ ३-२०४-१ ॥
'Markandeya said, 'O Yudhishthira, when the entire mystery of salvation was revealed to the Brahmana, he was filled with great delight. Turning to the fowler, he spoke with heartfelt gratitude and reverence.'' ॥ 3-204-1 ॥
english translation
नयाययुक्तम इदं सर्वं भवता परिकीर्तितम न ते ऽसत्य अविदितं किं चिद धर्मेष्व इह हि दृश्यते ॥ ३-२०४-२ ॥
'All that you have explained is logical and well-reasoned. It appears to me that there is nothing regarding the mysteries of religion that escapes your knowledge.' ॥ 3-204-2 ॥
english translation
[वयध] परत्यक्षं मम यॊ धर्मस तं पश्य दविजसत्तम येन सिद्धिर इयं पराप्ता मया बराह्मणपुंगव ॥ ३-२०४-३ ॥
'The fowler replied, 'O noble and esteemed Brahmana, you shall witness for yourself the virtue I uphold, through which I have attained this state of bliss and perfection.'' ॥ 3-204-3 ॥
english translation
उत्तिष्ठ भगवन कषिप्रं परविश्याभ्यन्तरं गृहम दरष्टुम अर्हसि धर्मज्ञ मातरं पितरं च मे ॥ ३-२०४-४ ॥
'Rise, O venerable one, and step swiftly into this inner chamber. O virtuous soul, it is only fitting that you meet my father and mother.' ॥ 3-204-4 ॥
english translation
[मार्क] इत्य उक्तः स परविश्याथ ददर्श परमार्चितम सौधं हृद्यं चतुर्शालम अतीव च मनॊहरम ॥ ३-२०४-५ ॥
'Markandeya continued, 'Thus addressed, the Brahmana entered and beheld a splendid, beautifully designed mansion. Magnificent and divided into four grand suites, it was admired by the gods and resembled one of their divine palaces.' ॥ 3-204-5 ॥
