किं कोपमूलं मनुजेन्द्रपुत्र कस्ते न सन्तिष्ठति वाङ्निदेशे । क श्शुष्कवृक्षं वनमापतन्तं दवाग्निमासीदति निर्विशङ्कः ॥ ४-३३-४१
- 'O noble prince what is the cause of your anger? Who has disrespected your command? Who can approach without fear forest fire rushing towards a thicket of dried pieces of wood?' [4-33-41]
english translation
स तस्या वचनं श्रुत्वा सान्त्वपूर्वमशङ्कितम् । भूयः प्रणयदृष्टार्थं लक्ष्मणो वाक्यमब्रवीत् ॥ ४-३३-४२
Having heard Tara's unhesitant submission spoken in a pleasant and friendly manner, Lakshmana replied [4-33-42]

किमयं कामवृत्तस्ते लुप्तधर्मार्थसङ्ग्रहः । भर्ता भर्तृहिते युक्ते न चैनमवबुद्ध्यसे ॥ ४-३३-४३
- 'O lady, your husband engrossed in sensual pleasures, has lost sight of dharma and artha. Why don't you understand it in the interest of your husband whose well-wisher you are? [4-33-43]
english translation
न चिन्तयति राज्यार्थं नास्मान् शोकपरायणान् । सामात्यपरिषत्तारे पानमेवोपसेवते ॥ ४-३३-४४
'O Tara that we are in grief Sugriva does not realize. He is not attending to state affairs. He is only enjoying drinking in the company of ministers. [4-33-44]
english translation
स मासांश्चतुरः कृत्वा प्रमाणं प्लवगेश्वरः । व्यतीतां स्तान्मदव्यग्रो विहरन्नावबुध्यते ॥ ४-३३-४५
'The king of monkeys has already spent four months, enjoying drinks. He does not realize that he has flouted his promise. [4-33-45]
