हा महार्ह महाबाहो हा मम प्रिय पश्य माम् । जनं न पश्यसीमं त्वं कस्माच्छोकाभिपीडितम् ॥ ४-२५-४१
- O my venerable lord, O long-armed one, O my dear why don't you look at me, oppressed with tears? ॥ 4-25-41॥
english translation
hA mahArha mahAbAho hA mama priya pazya mAm । janaM na pazyasImaM tvaM kasmAcchokAbhipIDitam ॥ 4-25-41
hk transliteration by Sanscriptप्रहृष्टमिव ते वक्त्रं गतासोरपि मानद । आस्तार्कसमवर्णं च लक्ष्यते जीवतो यथा ॥ ४-२५-४२
'O revered self even though you are bereft of life, your face looks cheerful. It carries the colour of the setting Sun, and looks the same when you were alive. ॥ 4-25-42॥
english translation
prahRSTamiva te vaktraM gatAsorapi mAnada । AstArkasamavarNaM ca lakSyate jIvato yathA ॥ 4-25-42
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएष त्वां रामरूपेण कालः कर्षति वानर । येन स्म विधवास्सर्वाः कृता एकेषुणा वने ॥ ४-२५-४३
'O monkey a single arrow from Rama who appeared in the forest in the form of death dragged you away from us and turned us all into widows. ॥ 4-25-43॥
english translation
eSa tvAM rAmarUpeNa kAlaH karSati vAnara । yena sma vidhavAssarvAH kRtA ekeSuNA vane ॥ 4-25-43
hk transliteration by Sanscriptइमास्तास्तव राजेन्द्र वानर्योवल्लभास्सदा । पादैर्विकृष्ट मध्वानमागताः किं न बुध्यसे ॥ ४-२५-४४
'O king of kings why don't you understand that these female monkeys, your wives who were dear to you have come on foot this long distance with great difficulty? ॥ 4-25-44॥

imAstAstava rAjendra vAnaryovallabhAssadA । pAdairvikRSTa madhvAnamAgatAH kiM na budhyase ॥ 4-25-44
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतवेष्टा ननु नामैता भार्याश्चन्द्रनिभाननाः । इदानीं नेक्षसे कस्तात्सुग्रीवं प्लवगेश्वरम् ॥ ४-२५-४५
'O lord of monkeys these moonfaced wives were indeed once your favourites. Why don't you look at them? Why don't you look Sugriva? ॥ 4-25-45॥

taveSTA nanu nAmaitA bhAryAzcandranibhAnanAH । idAnIM nekSase kastAtsugrIvaM plavagezvaram ॥ 4-25-45
