एवमुक्तस्तु सुग्रीवः क्रुद्धो वालिनमब्रवीत् । तवैव चा हरन्प्राणान्मुष्टिः पततु मूर्धनि ॥ ४-१६-२१
This infuriated Sugriva who, looking at Vali, said 'This fist of mine will draw your life out, hitting your forehead'. [4-16-21]

ताडितस्तेन सङ्कृद्धस्समभिक्रम्य वेगितः । अभवच्छोणितोद्गारी सोत्पीड इव पर्वतः ॥ ४-१६-२२
Struck by Vali, enraged Sugriva encountered Vali more aggresively. His body drenched in blood seemed a mountain with rivulets of blood flowing. [4-16-22]
english translation
सुग्रीवेण तु निस्सङ्गं सालमुत्पाट्य तेजसा । गात्रेष्वभिहतो वाली वज्रेणेव महागिरिः ॥ ४-१६-२३
With all his vigour, Sugriva uprooted a sala tree, pulled it out and struck Vali on the body, like a thunderbolt striking a huge mountain. [4-16-23]

स तु वाली प्रचलितस्सालताडनविह्वलः । गुरुभारसमाक्रान्तो नौ सार्थ इव सागरे ॥ ४-१६-२४
Struck by the blows of the sala tree, Vali also lost his balance like the heavily loaded ship of a trader shaken up in the ocean. [4-16-24]

तौ भीमबलविक्रान्तौ सुपर्णसमवेगिनौ । प्रवृद्धौ घोरवपुषौ चन्द्रसूर्याविवाम्बरे ॥ ४-१६-२५
Both of them endowed with terrible strength, fierce in appearance, and as fast as Garuda. Their fight grew more and more fierce like the fight between Sun and Moon in the sky. [4-16-25]
