या मामनुगता मन्दं पित्रा प्रव्राजितं वनम् । सीता सत्पथमास्थाय क्व नु सा वर्तते प्रिया ॥ ४-१-१०६
She who accompanied me, an unfortunate one whom his father sent to forests, taking up a virtuous course, now where will be she, that ladylove of mine, be abiding. ॥ 4-1-106॥
english translation
yA mAmanugatA mandaM pitrA pravrAjitaM vanam । sItA satpathamAsthAya kva nu sA vartate priyA ॥ 4-1-106
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतया विहीनः कृपणः कथं लक्ष्मण धारये । या मामनुगता राज्याद्भ्रष्टं विगतचेतसम् ॥ ४-१-१०७
She followed me, O Lakshmana as I was deposed from the kingdom and distraught. Now helpless, how can I live without her? ॥ 4-1-107॥
english translation
tayA vihInaH kRpaNaH kathaM lakSmaNa dhAraye । yA mAmanugatA rAjyAdbhraSTaM vigatacetasam ॥ 4-1-107
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतच्चार्वञ्चितपद्माक्षं सुगन्धि शुभमव्रणम् । अपश्यतो मुखं तस्यास्सीदतीव मनो मम ॥ ४-१-१०८
Unable to see her beautiful and blemishless, face with auspicious eyes like fragrant lotuses, I feel (so) depressed. ॥ 4-1-108॥

taccArvaJcitapadmAkSaM sugandhi zubhamavraNam । apazyato mukhaM tasyAssIdatIva mano mama ॥ 4-1-108
hk transliteration by Sanscriptस्मितहास्यान्तरयुतं गुणवन्मधुरं हितम् । वैदेह्या वाक्यमतुलं कदा श्रोष्यामि लक्ष्मण ॥ ४-१-१०९
When can I listen to Sita's sweet, wholesome and virtuous, incomparable words interlaced with her gentle smile, O Lakshmana? ॥ 4-1-109॥

smitahAsyAntarayutaM guNavanmadhuraM hitam । vaidehyA vAkyamatulaM kadA zroSyAmi lakSmaNa ॥ 4-1-109
hk transliteration by Sanscriptप्राप्य दुखं वने श्यामा मां मन्मथविकर्शितम् । नष्टदुःखेव हृष्टेव साध्वी साध्वभ्यभाषत ॥ ४-१-११०
My young and faithful beloved used to put up a brave face and speak to me in all propriety to cheer me up in the midst of suffering in the forest whenever I felt tormented by passion. ॥ 4-1-110॥
