जहारात्मविनाशाय वैदेहीं राक्षसाधमः । वञ्चयित्वा तु पौलोमीमनुह्लादो यथा शचीम् ॥ ४-३९-६
'Just as Anuhlada (son of Hiranyakasipu and brother of Prahlada) took away, Poulomi (Sachi, daughter of Puloma) deceiving Indra, this lowly demon took away Sita, daughter of the king of Videha. ॥ 4-39-6॥
english translation
jahArAtmavinAzAya vaidehIM rAkSasAdhamaH । vaJcayitvA tu paulomImanuhlAdo yathA zacIm ॥ 4-39-6
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन चिरात्तं हनिष्यामि रावणं निशितैश्शरैः । पौलोम्याः पितरं दृप्तं शतक्रतुरिवाऽहवे ॥ ४-३९-७
'I will kill Ravana with my sharp arrows just as Indra, (who had done a hundred sacrifices) killed the proud father of Poulomi.' ॥ 4-39-7॥
english translation
na cirAttaM haniSyAmi rAvaNaM nizitaizzaraiH । paulomyAH pitaraM dRptaM zatakraturivA'have ॥ 4-39-7
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएतस्मिन्नन्तरे चैव रजस्समभिवर्तत । उष्णां तीव्रां सहस्रांशोश्छादयद्गगने प्रभाम् ॥ ४-३९-८
In the mean while the dust raised (by army of monkeys) all over obscured the intense heat from the sky and the radiance of the thousand-rayed Sun. ॥ 4-39-8॥

etasminnantare caiva rajassamabhivartata । uSNAM tIvrAM sahasrAMzozchAdayadgagane prabhAm ॥ 4-39-8
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदिशः पर्याकुलाश्चासन्रजसा तेन मूर्छता । चचाल च मही सर्वा सशैलवनकानना ॥ ४-३९-९
By the spreading of dust, the quarters were not visible. The earth including the mountains gardens and forests was shaken up. ॥ 4-39-9॥

dizaH paryAkulAzcAsanrajasA tena mUrchatA । cacAla ca mahI sarvA sazailavanakAnanA ॥ 4-39-9
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततो नगेन्द्रसङ्काशैस्तीक्ष्णदंष्ट्रैर्महाबलैः । कृत्स्ना सञ्छादिता भूमिरसङ्ख्येयैः प्लवङ्गमैः ॥ ४-३९-१०
Then the entire land was crowded with innumerable powerful monkeys of the size of mountains having sharp fangs. ॥ 4-39-10॥
