निवर्तस्व सह स्त्रीभिः कथं भूयोऽनुगच्छसि । सौहृदं दर्शितं तारे मयि भक्ति: कृता त्वया ॥ ४-१६-६
'Go back with all the women of the harem. Why do you follow me again? Your devotion towards me is evident from the sincere concern expressed by you. ॥ 4-16-6॥
english translation
nivartasva saha strIbhiH kathaM bhUyo'nugacchasi । sauhRdaM darzitaM tAre mayi bhakti: kRtA tvayA ॥ 4-16-6
hk transliteration by Sanscriptप्रतियोत्स्याम्यहं गत्वा सुग्रीवं जहि सम्भ्रमम् । दर्पमात्रं विनेष्यामि न च प्राणैर्विमोक्ष्यते ॥ ४-१६-७
'I shall accept the challenge and fight with Sugriva. Give up your anxiety. I will destroy his pride, not his life. ॥ 4-16-7॥
english translation
pratiyotsyAmyahaM gatvA sugrIvaM jahi sambhramam । darpamAtraM vineSyAmi na ca prANairvimokSyate ॥ 4-16-7
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअहं ह्याजौस्थितस्यास्य करिष्यामि यथेप्सितम् । वृक्षैर्मुष्टिप्रहारैश्च पीडितः प्रतियास्यति ॥ ४-१६-८
'When he faces me in the battlefield, I will hit him with trees and fists, and he will run back for life. ॥ 4-16-8॥

ahaM hyAjausthitasyAsya kariSyAmi yathepsitam । vRkSairmuSTiprahAraizca pIDitaH pratiyAsyati ॥ 4-16-8
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन मे गर्वितमायस्तं सहिष्यति दुरात्मवान् । कृतं तारे सहांयत्वं सौहृदं दर्शितं मयि ॥ ४-१६-९
'That evil-minded Sugriva cannot bear my mighty, hard blows. Tara you could shower your affection on me and extend help ( in passing secret information obtained through Angada ). ॥ 4-16-9॥

na me garvitamAyastaM sahiSyati durAtmavAn । kRtaM tAre sahAMyatvaM sauhRdaM darzitaM mayi ॥ 4-16-9
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशापिताऽपि मम प्राणैर्निवर्तस्व जयेन च । अहं जित्वा निवर्तिष्ये तमहं भ्रातरं रणे ॥ ४-१६-१०
'I make a vow even on my life and my victory. Pray return with the retinue. I will be back only after winning the encounter with my brother.' ॥ 4-16-10॥

zApitA'pi mama prANairnivartasva jayena ca । ahaM jitvA nivartiSye tamahaM bhrAtaraM raNe ॥ 4-16-10
