ततस्तु द्वारमागम्य किष्किन्धाया महाबलः । ननर्द कम्पयन्भूमिं दुन्दुभिर्दुन्दुभिर्यथा ॥ ४-११-२६
- mighty Dundubhi marched to the entrance of Kishkindha. And then roared like a war-drum as if shaking the earth. ॥ 4-11-26॥

tatastu dvAramAgamya kiSkindhAyA mahAbalaH । nanarda kampayanbhUmiM dundubhirdundubhiryathA ॥ 4-11-26
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसमीपस्थान्द्रुमान्भञ्जन्वसुधां दारयन्खुरैः । विषाणेनोल्लिखन् दर्पात्तद्द्वारं द्विरदो यथा ॥ ४-११-२७
'Dundubhi felled the trees nearby, rent the earth with its hoofs, scratched the entrance gate of the city as an elephant would do with its horns in arrogance. ॥ 4-11-27॥

samIpasthAndrumAnbhaJjanvasudhAM dArayankhuraiH । viSANenollikhan darpAttaddvAraM dvirado yathA ॥ 4-11-27

'Unable to tolerate the sound, Vali jumped out of the harem along with the women like the Moon with stars. ॥ 4-11-28॥

- 'O Dundubhi why are you roaring, blocking the entrance of the city? I know you are powerful. Go and save your life.' ॥ 4-11-30॥
