अथ पद्मपलाशाक्षीं मैथिलीमनुचिन्तयन् । उवाच लक्ष्मणं रामो मुखेन परिशुष्यता ॥ ४-३०-२१
Then falling back on the memory of Maithili, the lady with eyes like lotus petals, he said to Lakshmana with parched lips ॥ 4-30-21॥

atha padmapalAzAkSIM maithilImanucintayan । uvAca lakSmaNaM rAmo mukhena parizuSyatA ॥ 4-30-21

- 'Having satisfied the earth with abundant rain water and having fulfilled the task of ripening the crops, the thousandeyed Indra has done his duty, has settled down now. ॥ 4-30-22॥
english translation
tarpayitvA sahasrAkSassalilena vasundharAm । nirvartayitvA sasyAni kRtakarmA vyavasthitaH ॥ 4-30-22
hk transliteration by Sanscriptस्निग्धगम्भीरनिर्घोषाश्शैलद्रुमपुरोगमाः । विसृज्य सलिलं मेघाः परिश्रान्ता नृपात्मज ॥ ४-३०-२३
'O prince having discharged their water the clouds (after the rains) are exhausted. They are moving now over trees and mountains, making deep and pleasant sounds. ॥ 4-30-23॥

snigdhagambhIranirghoSAzzailadrumapurogamAH । visRjya salilaM meghAH parizrAntA nRpAtmaja ॥ 4-30-23
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनीलोत्पलदलश्यामाश्श्यामीकृत्वा दिशो दश । विमदा इव मातङ्गाश्शान्तवेगाः पयोधराः ॥ ४-३०-२४
'The clouds, which were dark till now like the blue lotus petals darkening all the ten directions are like elephants free from all intoxication as their fury is abated. ॥ 4-30-24॥

nIlotpaladalazyAmAzzyAmIkRtvA dizo daza । vimadA iva mAtaGgAzzAntavegAH payodharAH ॥ 4-30-24
hk transliteration by Sanscriptजलगर्भा महामेघा कुटजार्जुनगन्धिनः । चरित्वा विरतास्सौम्य वृष्टिवातास्समुद्यताः ॥ ४-३०-२५
'O dear the moist winds have ceased to blow as before and are carrying the fragrance of kutaja and arjuna flowers. ॥ 4-30-25॥
