अ॒र्धं वी॒रस्य॑ शृत॒पाम॑नि॒न्द्रं परा॒ शर्ध॑न्तं नुनुदे अ॒भि क्षाम् । इन्द्रो॑ म॒न्युं म॑न्यु॒म्यो॑ मिमाय भे॒जे प॒थो व॑र्त॒निं पत्य॑मानः ॥ अर्धं वीरस्य शृतपामनिन्द्रं परा शर्धन्तं नुनुदे अभि क्षाम् । इन्द्रो मन्युं मन्युम्यो मिमाय भेजे पथो वर्तनिं पत्यमानः ॥
Indra has scattered over the earth the hostile rival of the hero (Sudāsa), the senior of Indra, theappropriator of the oblation; Indra has baffled the wrath of the wratfhful enemy, and the (foe) advancing on theway (against Sudāsa) has taken the path of flight.

आ॒ध्रेण॑ चि॒त्तद्वेकं॑ चकार सिं॒ह्यं॑ चि॒त्पेत्वे॑ना जघान । अव॑ स्र॒क्तीर्वे॒श्या॑वृश्च॒दिन्द्र॒: प्राय॑च्छ॒द्विश्वा॒ भोज॑ना सु॒दासे॑ ॥ आध्रेण चित्तद्वेकं चकार सिंह्यं चित्पेत्वेना जघान । अव स्रक्तीर्वेश्यावृश्चदिन्द्रः प्रायच्छद्विश्वा भोजना सुदासे ॥
Indra, has effected a valuable (donation) by a pauper; he has slain an old lion by a goat; he has cut theangles of the sacrificial post with a needle; he has given all the spoils (of the enemy) to Sudāsa.
english translation
शश्व॑न्तो॒ हि शत्र॑वो रार॒धुष्टे॑ भे॒दस्य॑ चि॒च्छर्ध॑तो विन्द॒ रन्धि॑म् । मर्ताँ॒ एन॑: स्तुव॒तो यः कृ॒णोति॑ ति॒ग्मं तस्मि॒न्नि ज॑हि॒ वज्र॑मिन्द्र ॥ शश्वन्तो हि शत्रवो रारधुष्टे भेदस्य चिच्छर्धतो विन्द रन्धिम् । मर्ताँ एनः स्तुवतो यः कृणोति तिग्मं तस्मिन्नि जहि वज्रमिन्द्र ॥
Your numerous enemies, Indra, have been reduced to subjection, effect at some time or other thesubjugation of the turbulent Bheda, who holds men praising you as guilty of wickedness; hurl, Indra, your sharpthuderbolt against him.
english translation
आव॒दिन्द्रं॑ य॒मुना॒ तृत्स॑वश्च॒ प्रात्र॑ भे॒दं स॒र्वता॑ता मुषायत् । अ॒जास॑श्च॒ शिग्र॑वो॒ यक्ष॑वश्च ब॒लिं शी॒र्षाणि॑ जभ्रु॒रश्व्या॑नि ॥ आवदिन्द्रं यमुना तृत्सवश्च प्रात्र भेदं सर्वताता मुषायत् । अजासश्च शिग्रवो यक्षवश्च बलिं शीर्षाणि जभ्रुरश्व्यानि ॥
The dwellers on the Yamuna and the Tṛtsus glorified Indra when he killed Bheda in battle; the Ajas, theŚigrus, the Yakṣas, offered him as a sacrifice the heads of the horses (killed in the combat).

न त॑ इन्द्र सुम॒तयो॒ न राय॑: सं॒चक्षे॒ पूर्वा॑ उ॒षसो॒ न नूत्ना॑: । देव॑कं चिन्मान्यमा॒नं ज॑घ॒न्थाव॒ त्मना॑ बृह॒तः शम्ब॑रं भेत् ॥ न त इन्द्र सुमतयो न रायः संचक्षे पूर्वा उषसो न नूत्नाः । देवकं चिन्मान्यमानं जघन्थाव त्मना बृहतः शम्बरं भेत् ॥
Your favours, Indra, and your bounties, whether old or new, cannot be counted like the (recurring)dawn; you have slain Devaka, the son of Mānyamāna, and of thine own will, has cast down Śambara from thevast (mountain).
