असा॑वि दे॒वं गोऋ॑जीक॒मन्धो॒ न्य॑स्मि॒न्निन्द्रो॑ ज॒नुषे॑मुवोच । बोधा॑मसि त्वा हर्यश्व य॒ज्ञैर्बोधा॑ न॒: स्तोम॒मन्ध॑सो॒ मदे॑षु ॥ असावि देवं गोऋजीकमन्धो न्यस्मिन्निन्द्रो जनुषेमुवोच । बोधामसि त्वा हर्यश्व यज्ञैर्बोधा नः स्तोममन्धसो मदेषु ॥
Bright sacrificial food mixed with curds and milk has been poured out; Indra delights in it from his birth;lord of bay horses, we wake you up with sacrifices, acknowledge our praises in the exhilaration of the Soma.

प्र य॑न्ति य॒ज्ञं वि॒पय॑न्ति ब॒र्हिः सो॑म॒मादो॑ वि॒दथे॑ दु॒ध्रवा॑चः । न्यु॑ भ्रियन्ते य॒शसो॑ गृ॒भादा दू॒रउ॑पब्दो॒ वृष॑णो नृ॒षाच॑: ॥ प्र यन्ति यज्ञं विपयन्ति बर्हिः सोममादो विदथे दुध्रवाचः । न्यु भ्रियन्ते यशसो गृभादा दूरउपब्दो वृषणो नृषाचः ॥
They repair to the sacrifice, they strew the sacred grass; the (grinding) stones at the ceremony are ofdifficulty suppressed noise; famous priests, whose voices are heard far off, bring the stones from the interior ofthe dwelling.

त्वमि॑न्द्र॒ स्रवि॑त॒वा अ॒पस्क॒: परि॑ष्ठिता॒ अहि॑ना शूर पू॒र्वीः । त्वद्वा॑वक्रे र॒थ्यो॒३॒॑ न धेना॒ रेज॑न्ते॒ विश्वा॑ कृ॒त्रिमा॑णि भी॒षा ॥ त्वमिन्द्र स्रवितवा अपस्कः परिष्ठिता अहिना शूर पूर्वीः । त्वद्वावक्रे रथ्यो न धेना रेजन्ते विश्वा कृत्रिमाणि भीषा ॥
You, hero, have enabled the many waters arrested by Ahi to flow; by you the rivers rushed forth likecharioteers; all created worlds trembled through fear of you.

भी॒मो वि॑वे॒षायु॑धेभिरेषा॒मपां॑सि॒ विश्वा॒ नर्या॑णि वि॒द्वान् । इन्द्र॒: पुरो॒ जर्हृ॑षाणो॒ वि दू॑धो॒द्वि वज्र॑हस्तो महि॒ना ज॑घान ॥ भीमो विवेषायुधेभिरेषामपांसि विश्वा नर्याणि विद्वान् । इन्द्रः पुरो जर्हृषाणो वि दूधोद्वि वज्रहस्तो महिना जघान ॥
The formidable (Indra), knowing all actions beneficial to man, intimidated those (asuras) by hisweapons; Indra, exuling shook their cities; armed with his thunderbolt he slew them in his might.

न या॒तव॑ इन्द्र जूजुवुर्नो॒ न वन्द॑ना शविष्ठ वे॒द्याभि॑: । स श॑र्धद॒र्यो विषु॑णस्य ज॒न्तोर्मा शि॒श्नदे॑वा॒ अपि॑ गुॠ॒तं न॑: ॥ न यातव इन्द्र जूजुवुर्नो न वन्दना शविष्ठ वेद्याभिः । स शर्धदर्यो विषुणस्य जन्तोर्मा शिश्नदेवा अपि गुॠतं नः ॥
Let not th rākṣasas, Indra, do us harm; let not the evil spirits do harm to our progeny, most powerful(Indra); let the sovereign lord, (Indra), exert himself (in the restraint) of disorderly beings, so that the unchastemay not disturb our rite.
