प्र शु॒न्ध्युवं॒ वरु॑णाय॒ प्रेष्ठां॑ म॒तिं व॑सिष्ठ मी॒ळ्हुषे॑ भरस्व । य ई॑म॒र्वाञ्चं॒ कर॑ते॒ यज॑त्रं स॒हस्रा॑मघं॒ वृष॑णं बृ॒हन्त॑म् ॥ प्र शुन्ध्युवं वरुणाय प्रेष्ठां मतिं वसिष्ठ मीळ्हुषे भरस्व । य ईमर्वाञ्चं करते यजत्रं सहस्रामघं वृषणं बृहन्तम् ॥
Offer pure and acceptable praise, Vasiṣṭha to the showerer, Varuṇa, he who makes the adorable(sun), the donor of thousands, the showerer (of benefits), the vast, manifest before (us).
english translation
अधा॒ न्व॑स्य सं॒दृशं॑ जग॒न्वान॒ग्नेरनी॑कं॒ वरु॑णस्य मंसि । स्व१॒॑र्यदश्म॑न्नधि॒पा उ॒ अन्धो॒ऽभि मा॒ वपु॑र्दृ॒शये॑ निनीयात् ॥ अधा न्वस्य संदृशं जगन्वानग्नेरनीकं वरुणस्य मंसि । स्वर्यदश्मन्नधिपा उ अन्धोऽभि मा वपुर्दृशये निनीयात् ॥
Hastening into his sight, may I (worthily) glorify the aggregated radiance of Varuṇa, when he is theimbiber of the exhilarating beverage (expressed) by the stones; may he render my person n of goodly aspect.

आ यद्रु॒हाव॒ वरु॑णश्च॒ नावं॒ प्र यत्स॑मु॒द्रमी॒रया॑व॒ मध्य॑म् । अधि॒ यद॒पां स्नुभि॒श्चरा॑व॒ प्र प्रे॒ङ्ख ई॑ङ्खयावहै शु॒भे कम् ॥ आ यद्रुहाव वरुणश्च नावं प्र यत्समुद्रमीरयाव मध्यम् । अधि यदपां स्नुभिश्चराव प्र प्रेङ्ख ईङ्खयावहै शुभे कम् ॥
When (I, Vasiṣṭha) and Varuṇa ascend the ship together when we send it forth into the midst of theocean, when we proceed over the waters with swift (sailing vessels), then may we both undulate happily in the prosperous swing.

वसि॑ष्ठं ह॒ वरु॑णो ना॒व्याधा॒दृषिं॑ चकार॒ स्वपा॒ महो॑भिः । स्तो॒तारं॒ विप्र॑: सुदिन॒त्वे अह्नां॒ यान्नु द्याव॑स्त॒तन॒न्यादु॒षास॑: ॥ वसिष्ठं ह वरुणो नाव्याधादृषिं चकार स्वपा महोभिः । स्तोतारं विप्रः सुदिनत्वे अह्नां यान्नु द्यावस्ततनन्यादुषासः ॥
So Varuṇa plural ced Vasiṣṭha in the ship, and by his mighty protection made the ṛṣi a doer of goodworks; the wise Varuṇa plural ced his worshipper in a fortunate day of days, he extended the passing days, the passing nights.

क्व१॒॑ त्यानि॑ नौ स॒ख्या ब॑भूवु॒: सचा॑वहे॒ यद॑वृ॒कं पु॒रा चि॑त् । बृ॒हन्तं॒ मानं॑ वरुण स्वधावः स॒हस्र॑द्वारं जगमा गृ॒हं ते॑ ॥ क्व त्यानि नौ सख्या बभूवुः सचावहे यदवृकं पुरा चित् । बृहन्तं मानं वरुण स्वधावः सहस्रद्वारं जगमा गृहं ते ॥
What has become of those our ancient friendships? Let us preserve them unimpaired as of old;food-bestowing Varuṇa, may I go to your vast comprehensive thousand-doored dwelling.
