प्राग्नये॑ विश्व॒शुचे॑ धियं॒धे॑ऽसुर॒घ्ने मन्म॑ धी॒तिं भ॑रध्वम् । भरे॑ ह॒विर्न ब॒र्हिषि॑ प्रीणा॒नो वै॑श्वान॒राय॒ यत॑ये मती॒नाम् ॥ प्राग्नये विश्वशुचे धियंधेऽसुरघ्ने मन्म धीतिं भरध्वम् । भरे हविर्न बर्हिषि प्रीणानो वैश्वानराय यतये मतीनाम् ॥
Offer praise and worshp to Agni, the enlightener of all, the accepter of pious rites, the destroyer of theAsuras; propitiating him, I now present the oblation on the sacred grass to Vaiśvānara, the granter of riches.
english translation
त्वम॑ग्ने शो॒चिषा॒ शोशु॑चान॒ आ रोद॑सी अपृणा॒ जाय॑मानः । त्वं दे॒वाँ अ॒भिश॑स्तेरमुञ्चो॒ वैश्वा॑नर जातवेदो महि॒त्वा ॥ त्वमग्ने शोचिषा शोशुचान आ रोदसी अपृणा जायमानः । त्वं देवाँ अभिशस्तेरमुञ्चो वैश्वानर जातवेदो महित्वा ॥
You, Agni, radiant with lustre, fill the heaven and earth (with light) as soon as born; you, Vaiśvānara,from whom wealth proceeds, has by your might liberated the gods from malevolent (foes).
english translation
जा॒तो यद॑ग्ने॒ भुव॑ना॒ व्यख्य॑: प॒शून्न गो॒पा इर्य॒: परि॑ज्मा । वैश्वा॑नर॒ ब्रह्म॑णे विन्द गा॒तुं यू॒यं पा॑त स्व॒स्तिभि॒: सदा॑ नः ॥ जातो यदग्ने भुवना व्यख्यः पशून्न गोपा इर्यः परिज्मा । वैश्वानर ब्रह्मणे विन्द गातुं यूयं पात स्वस्तिभिः सदा नः ॥
When you are born, Agni, the lord, the circumambient, you watch over all creatures as a herdsman overhis cattle; be willing, Vaiśvānara, to requite our praise, and do you cherish us with blessings.
