अग॑न्म म॒हा नम॑सा॒ यवि॑ष्ठं॒ यो दी॒दाय॒ समि॑द्ध॒: स्वे दु॑रो॒णे । चि॒त्रभा॑नुं॒ रोद॑सी अ॒न्तरु॒र्वी स्वा॑हुतं वि॒श्वत॑: प्र॒त्यञ्च॑म् ॥ अगन्म महा नमसा यविष्ठं यो दीदाय समिद्धः स्वे दुरोणे । चित्रभानुं रोदसी अन्तरुर्वी स्वाहुतं विश्वतः प्रत्यञ्चम् ॥
Let us approach with profound reverence the youngest (of the gods), who shines when kindled in hisown abode; who is blazing wonderfully between heaven and earth, and, piously invoked, is coming from everyquarter.
english translation
स म॒ह्ना विश्वा॑ दुरि॒तानि॑ सा॒ह्वान॒ग्निः ष्ट॑वे॒ दम॒ आ जा॒तवे॑दाः । स नो॑ रक्षिषद्दुरि॒ताद॑व॒द्याद॒स्मान्गृ॑ण॒त उ॒त नो॑ म॒घोन॑: ॥ स मह्ना विश्वा दुरितानि साह्वानग्निः ष्टवे दम आ जातवेदाः । स नो रक्षिषद्दुरितादवद्यादस्मान्गृणत उत नो मघोनः ॥
May that Agni who by his greatness is the overcomer of all evils, who is praised as Jātavedas in the(sacrificial) chamber, protect us, glorifying him, and affluent (in oblations), from all sin and reproach.
english translation
त्वं वरु॑ण उ॒त मि॒त्रो अ॑ग्ने॒ त्वां व॑र्धन्ति म॒तिभि॒र्वसि॑ष्ठाः । त्वे वसु॑ सुषण॒नानि॑ सन्तु यू॒यं पा॑त स्व॒स्तिभि॒: सदा॑ नः ॥ त्वं वरुण उत मित्रो अग्ने त्वां वर्धन्ति मतिभिर्वसिष्ठाः । त्वे वसु सुषणनानि सन्तु यूयं पात स्वस्तिभिः सदा नः ॥
You are Varuṇa, you are Mitra, Agni; the Vasiṣṭhas augment you with praises; may liberally distributedriches be (extant) in you, and do you ever cherish us with blessings.
