यस्ति॒ग्मशृ॑ङ्गो वृष॒भो न भी॒म एक॑: कृ॒ष्टीश्च्या॒वय॑ति॒ प्र विश्वा॑: । यः शश्व॑तो॒ अदा॑शुषो॒ गय॑स्य प्रय॒न्तासि॒ सुष्वि॑तराय॒ वेद॑: ॥ यस्तिग्मशृङ्गो वृषभो न भीम एकः कृष्टीश्च्यावयति प्र विश्वाः । यः शश्वतो अदाशुषो गयस्य प्रयन्तासि सुष्वितराय वेदः ॥
Indra, who is formidable as a sharp-horned bull, singly expels all men (from their stations); you who arethe despoiler of the ample wealth of him who makes no offerings are the giver of riches to the presenter offrequent oblations.

त्वं ह॒ त्यदि॑न्द्र॒ कुत्स॑माव॒: शुश्रू॑षमाणस्त॒न्वा॑ सम॒र्ये । दासं॒ यच्छुष्णं॒ कुय॑वं॒ न्य॑स्मा॒ अर॑न्धय आर्जुने॒याय॒ शिक्ष॑न् ॥ त्वं ह त्यदिन्द्र कुत्समावः शुश्रूषमाणस्तन्वा समर्ये । दासं यच्छुष्णं कुयवं न्यस्मा अरन्धय आर्जुनेयाय शिक्षन् ॥

त्वं धृ॑ष्णो धृष॒ता वी॒तह॑व्यं॒ प्रावो॒ विश्वा॑भिरू॒तिभि॑: सु॒दास॑म् । प्र पौरु॑कुत्सिं त्र॒सद॑स्युमाव॒: क्षेत्र॑साता वृत्र॒हत्ये॑षु पू॒रुम् ॥ त्वं धृष्णो धृषता वीतहव्यं प्रावो विश्वाभिरूतिभिः सुदासम् । प्र पौरुकुत्सिं त्रसदस्युमावः क्षेत्रसाता वृत्रहत्येषु पूरुम् ॥
Undaunted (Indra), you had protected with all your protections Sudāsa, the offerer of oblations; youhave protected in battles with enemies for the possession of the earth Trasadasyu, the son of Purukutsa, and Puru.

त्वं नृभि॑र्नृमणो दे॒ववी॑तौ॒ भूरी॑णि वृ॒त्रा ह॑र्यश्व हंसि । त्वं नि दस्युं॒ चुमु॑रिं॒ धुनिं॒ चास्वा॑पयो द॒भीत॑ये सु॒हन्तु॑ ॥ त्वं नृभिर्नृमणो देववीतौ भूरीणि वृत्रा हर्यश्व हंसि । त्वं नि दस्युं चुमुरिं धुनिं चास्वापयो दभीतये सुहन्तु ॥
You, the lord of horses, who are honoured by men, have destroyed, along with the Maruts, numerousenemies at the sacrifice of the gods; you have put to sleep with the thunderbolt the Dasyus, Chumuri, and Dhuni,on behalf of Dabhīti.

तव॑ च्यौ॒त्नानि॑ वज्रहस्त॒ तानि॒ नव॒ यत्पुरो॑ नव॒तिं च॑ स॒द्यः । नि॒वेश॑ने शतत॒मावि॑वेषी॒रह॑ञ्च वृ॒त्रं नमु॑चिमु॒ताह॑न् ॥ तव च्यौत्नानि वज्रहस्त तानि नव यत्पुरो नवतिं च सद्यः । निवेशने शततमाविवेषीरहञ्च वृत्रं नमुचिमुताहन् ॥
Such, wielder of the thunderbolt, are your mighty powers, that when you had quickly destroyed ninetyand nine cities, you have occupied the hundredth as a plural ce of abode; you have slain Vṛtra, you have also slain Namuci.
