न सोम॒ इन्द्र॒मसु॑तो ममाद॒ नाब्र॑ह्माणो म॒घवा॑नं सु॒तास॑: । तस्मा॑ उ॒क्थं ज॑नये॒ यज्जुजो॑षन्नृ॒वन्नवी॑यः शृ॒णव॒द्यथा॑ नः ॥ न सोम इन्द्रमसुतो ममाद नाब्रह्माणो मघवानं सुतासः । तस्मा उक्थं जनये यज्जुजोषन्नृवन्नवीयः शृणवद्यथा नः ॥
The Soma uneffused delights not Indra; the effused juices plural ase not Maghavan, unaccompanied byprayer; therefore, I offer to him praise that he may be plural ased with; that, like a prince, he may listen to a novel(strain).

उ॒क्थौ॑क्थे॒ सोम॒ इन्द्रं॑ ममाद नी॒थेनी॑थे म॒घवा॑नं सु॒तास॑: । यदीं॑ स॒बाध॑: पि॒तरं॒ न पु॒त्राः स॑मा॒नद॑क्षा॒ अव॑से॒ हव॑न्ते ॥ उक्थौक्थे सोम इन्द्रं ममाद नीथेनीथे मघवानं सुतासः । यदीं सबाधः पितरं न पुत्राः समानदक्षा अवसे हवन्ते ॥
The Soma effused with reiterated prayer delights Indra; the effused juices, (offered) with repeatedpraise, (exhilarate) Maghavan; therefore, (the priests), combining together and making like exertion, invoke Indrafor protection, as sons (apply) to a father.

च॒कार॒ ता कृ॒णव॑न्नू॒नम॒न्या यानि॑ ब्रु॒वन्ति॑ वे॒धस॑: सु॒तेषु॑ । जनी॑रिव॒ पति॒रेक॑: समा॒नो नि मा॑मृजे॒ पुर॒ इन्द्र॒: सु सर्वा॑: ॥ चकार ता कृणवन्नूनमन्या यानि ब्रुवन्ति वेधसः सुतेषु । जनीरिव पतिरेकः समानो नि मामृजे पुर इन्द्रः सु सर्वाः ॥
Such exploits as his worshippers, when the Soma is effused, proclaim that he has achieved, let himnow perform; may Indra, equal (to the task) and unaided, possess all the riches (of the asuras) as a husband his wives.

ए॒वा तमा॑हुरु॒त शृ॑ण्व॒ इन्द्र॒ एको॑ विभ॒क्ता त॒रणि॑र्म॒घाना॑म् । मि॒थ॒स्तुर॑ ऊ॒तयो॒ यस्य॑ पू॒र्वीर॒स्मे भ॒द्राणि॑ सश्चत प्रि॒याणि॑ ॥ एवा तमाहुरुत शृण्व इन्द्र एको विभक्ता तरणिर्मघानाम् । मिथस्तुर ऊतयो यस्य पूर्वीरस्मे भद्राणि सश्चत प्रियाणि ॥
Such have they proclaimed him; Indra is still celebrated as the distributor of riches, the transporter(beyond calamity), of whom many and emulous are the protections; may acceptable benefits attend us.

ए॒वा वसि॑ष्ठ॒ इन्द्र॑मू॒तये॒ नॄन्कृ॑ष्टी॒नां वृ॑ष॒भं सु॒ते गृ॑णाति । स॒ह॒स्रिण॒ उप॑ नो माहि॒ वाजा॑न्यू॒यं पा॑त स्व॒स्तिभि॒: सदा॑ नः ॥ एवा वसिष्ठ इन्द्रमूतये नॄन्कृष्टीनां वृषभं सुते गृणाति । सहस्रिण उप नो माहि वाजान्यूयं पात स्वस्तिभिः सदा नः ॥
Thus does Vasiṣṭha glorify Indra, the showerer (of benefits) upon the worshippers for the preservationof mankind; bestow upon us, (Indra), thousands of viands; do you ever cherish us with blessings.
