रामलक्ष्मणयोर्नाम क्रोशन्तीं मुक्तमूर्धजाम् । एष कालात्ययस्तावदिति कालविदां वरः ॥ ४-५९-२१
'She was crying, loudly calling out the names of Rama and Lakshmana, her hair dishevelled. O father this is the cause of my delay', said Suparshva, who knew the value of time. ॥ 4-59-21॥
english translation
rAmalakSmaNayornAma krozantIM muktamUrdhajAm । eSa kAlAtyayastAvaditi kAlavidAM varaH ॥ 4-59-21
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएतमर्थं समग्रं मे सुपार्श्वः प्रत्यवेदयत् । तच्छृत्वाऽपि हि मे बुद्धिर्नासीत्काचित्पराक्रमे ॥ ४-५९-२२
'Thus he gave the entire account to me. Even after hearing this I could not advance (against Ravana). ॥ 4-59-22॥
english translation
etamarthaM samagraM me supArzvaH pratyavedayat । tacchRtvA'pi hi me buddhirnAsItkAcitparAkrame ॥ 4-59-22
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअपक्षो हि कथं पक्षी कर्म किञ्चिदुपक्रमे । यत्तु शक्यं मया कर्तुं वाग्बुद्धिगुणवर्तिना ॥ ४-५९-२३
'How could I, a vulture without wings, leap even a little? Being endowed with the faculty of thinking and speech I shall tell you what is possible . - ॥ 4-59-23॥
english translation
apakSo hi kathaM pakSI karma kiJcidupakrame । yattu zakyaM mayA kartuM vAgbuddhiguNavartinA ॥ 4-59-23
hk transliteration by Sanscriptश्रूयतां तत्प्रवक्ष्यामि भवतां पौरुषाश्रयम् । वाङ्मतिभ्यां तु सर्वेषां करिष्यामि प्रियं हि वः ॥ ४-५९-२४
- for you to execute with your prowess. Listen. 'I will please you with my word and thought and it is dear to me as well - ॥ 4-59-24॥

zrUyatAM tatpravakSyAmi bhavatAM pauruSAzrayam । vAGmatibhyAM tu sarveSAM kariSyAmi priyaM hi vaH ॥ 4-59-24
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयद्धि दाशरथेः कार्यं मम तन्नात्र संशयः । ते भवन्तो मतिश्रेष्ठा बलवन्तो मनस्विनः ॥ ४-५९-२५
- Rama's task, do not doubt that. Indeed, you monkeys are very wise, strong and sensitive. ॥ 4-59-25॥

yaddhi dAzaratheH kAryaM mama tannAtra saMzayaH । te bhavanto matizreSThA balavanto manasvinaH ॥ 4-59-25
